Meet Sonia Goujon

Sonia Goujon is a 16 year old junior at Santa Fe High School. The new college and careers plaza intern is a highly motivated and dedicated student with great aspirations. Sonia participates in various extracurricular activities including volunteering with the state as a bookkeeper, being a child ski instructor, and volunteering at a local horse rescue facility. Besides being heavily involved in her community Sonia also plays two varsity sports at Santa Fe High, varsity track and varsity soccer which whe wishes to continue playing into college.

After high school Sonia wants to major in business and minor in social psychology at the University of Washington. ¨I have an aunt who lives in Seattle, and Seattle has lots of programs for their youth, they are very interested in their youth¨ Sonia stated. All in preparation for her dream job which she says is working in the management information systems branch of business, as it is very technology oriented.

Sonia also enjoys various hobbies outside of her regular activities. Hiking, biking, and even running to mention a few. As for her favorite after school activities she likes to do anything that is not on the computer, like going on walks, watching the sunset,playing pool with her dad, and before Covid hanging out with her teammates. In the summer she loves to travel and take road trips. At one point visiting Lima peru, which she says is the coolest place she’s visited. As It was her first time going to South America, visiting Machu Picchu, seeing how many travelers go there was very interesting, and it was her first time experiencing a different culture and people.

As for her personality, Sonia is very sweet and happy, always smiling. Her strengths include organization, time management, being a leader, working with others, and working on her own which she prefers as she is more of an introvert. On the other hand some of her weaknesses are being honest about how she feels about a certain situation, and wanting to know all the facts. Her favorite holiday is Christmas,and she has several pets, a dog named Copper, her cat Brains, and her other dog Tuni.

Sonia is very excited to start this internship at CCP, and says she is most excited to work with the team and gain new connections.
